What to Expect....

  • It is important for the therapist to get a better understanding of your medical history to adjust your treatment accordingly. A brief intake form is required to be filled out at the client's first appointment along with a copy of Touch of Wellness practice policies. You can fill the forms out prior to your appointment.

  • Massage therapy involves the use of touch, and may at times include the use of oils, lotions, or creams. Coming to your massage therapy session with a clean body is imperative for the health and safety of both the client and massage therapist. Personal hygiene is mutually respected on both the part of the client and the massage therapist.

  •  A single massage therapy session or massage on a random basis is limited to providing general, nonspecific benefits. If you choose to use therapeutic massage on regular basis, you will participate in a detailed history and assessment process, working with the massage therapist to determine the most effective treatment plan to help achieve your goals. Re-assessment may be needed for long term goals.

  • Alcohol and massage therapy DO NOT MIX. Client will refrain from alcohol  use for at least 12 hours prior to the massage session. If you are taking or have taken prescription drugs for pain management or anti-inflammatory purposes in the past 12 hours, please notify the massage therapist prior to the session to determine if the massage is indicated.

  • Clients may undress to their comfort level. Clients will be covered and draped with clean linens at all times. Only the area being worked on will be undraped.

  • Clients 18 years or younger must be accompanied by and have the consent of a parent or guardian. Any client can request a friend or relative to accompany them in the massage session if client needs help getting ready for their massage or if there is any language barriers; and provided the person accompanying does not disrupt the session or behave in any inappropriate manner.

  • This is a professional massage therapy practice, and as such, follows a strict code of ethics.

  • Fees are required at the time of service. We accept Cash, Debit/Credit cards.  We value everyones time so please arrive 5-10 min early for your appointment. Sessions start at scheduled time.  Arriving late will reduce your time in the session, but will not alter the fee.
